1. Right to privacy. Everyone has a right to privacy. No one may infringe upon someone else’s right to privacy by, taking photos of them without their permission, asking unwanted personal questions, looking through their personal belonging or publishing in any public space (including social media) anything about that person, including photographs without their permission. 2. Physical harm. No one has the right to cause physical harm to anyone else even in play.
3. Sexual Violence and Harassment. No one may sexually harass or assault anyone else regardless of age or gender. Sexual assault is a criminal act and may be referred to the Police. Sexual harassment is never acceptable no matter how mild, playful or the original intent. Passing inappropriate language or behaviour off as a joke or ‘just banter’ can lead to a culture of fear and oppression and is not acceptable at EKS.
a. Engaging in or causing someone to engage in a sexual act without their consent, or of an age where consent cannot be given.
b. Touching of another person in a sexual way or in a private area of the body without consent. Including kissing, touching someone’s bottom/breasts/genitalia without consent.
a. Sexual comments, such as: telling sexual stories, making lewd comments, making sexual remarks about clothes and appearance and calling someone sexualised names.
b. Sexual “jokes” or taunting.
c. Interfering with someone’s clothes, such as: pulling trousers down, bra pinging, skirt lifting.
d. Taking images which invades someone’s bodily privacy.
e. Sharing or showing images of a sexual nature.
f. Online sexual harassment including: taking or sharing of nude or semi-nude images (with or without consent); sharing of explicit material; sexualised bullying; unwanted sexual comments or messages; coercion or threats.
4. Intimacy. Close relationships are natural and normal, but displays of affection should be appropriate for a public space. Hugs and kisses are acceptable but more sexualised cuddling, including under covers and snogging is not. Members are also not permitted in a closed room with only one other person.
