ME-13. Attendance

1. EKS hours. EKS is open between 9.30am and 3.00pm Tuesday - Thursday during the academic terms, unless otherwise notified.

2. Changes to hours/attendance. Changes to EKS hours or minimum attendance must be proposed by The Community Meeting and agreed by The Members following a consultation meeting with Parents.

3. Minimum attendance. Community Meeting Members are required to be at EKS for a minimum of 4.5 hours per day when open, except for authorised or notified absences.

4. Signing in/out. Staff must sign in Community Meeting Members are when they arrive at EKS and when they leave.

5. Leaving for the day. When the second bell rings all students must put their cleaning things away and convene on the ground level before home time, with the exception of gate duty students. Sudbury room is to be used as a quiet space only.

a. The basement is not included as an end of day gathering space

b. Students when called should collect their belongings from the basement and put their tag in the box before leaving via basement door.

c. No student should leave through the gate without a staff present.

6. After hours. Community Meeting Members are not allowed on the EKS campus after hours with the following exceptions:

a. Staff members or Community Meeting Officials carrying out community business.

b. Community Meeting Members awaiting collection.

c. Children of Staff members under direct supervision of their parents.

7. Staff children. At 3pm all students, who have parents who are staff at EKS, have to remain on the ground floor unless agreed to be elsewhere with their parent. While waiting after hours there must be no mess made and no excessive noise.
