ME-15. Trips

1. Trips Policy. Anyone organising a trip must follow the procedures set out in the Trips Policy. Staff members in charge of trips must follow the Trips Policy at all times.

2. Staff authority. For the duration of a trip staff are in charge, students must follow staff instructions.

3. Public behaviour. All Community Meeting Members are representatives of EKS whilst on the trip and must behave in a way appropriate for a public space.

4. Respect for the public. Everyone must show respect for members of the public.

5. Travelling as a group. Everyone must travel to and from the trip destination together as a group, crossing all roads together.

6. Under 8s crossing roads. Students under 8 years old must hold a staff or older student’s hand to cross roads.

7. Reporting injuries. Any injuries must be reported to a staff member immediately.

8. Reporting incidents. Any incidents that occur must be reported immediately on return.

9. Terminating trips. Staff may terminate a trip at any time due to safety concerns.

10. Footwear. All members must wear footwear at all times on trips.
